Type and Read

If you are deaf or can’t hear well and have difficulty speaking or communicating, this is the most useful relay option for you.

It is the most commonly used relay call option and is also known as "text to voice".

How it works
The relay officer becomes "your voice" and reads aloud to the other person what you type, then listens to what the other person says and types it back for you to read.

What Users Say

My deafness has worsened over the years. Then I discovered the relay service. It's meant so much to me and the wonderful relay officers are so patient and kind. My life would be so much more difficult without them.
