These are short documentaries about the lives of people who lost not only their hearing but the sense of connection and belonging that goes with being able to hear. Speak and Read relay calls through the NRS have helped these people rejoin the world.

Murph's story

Murph lost most of his hearing when he was two. He has managed to hold down a job and raise a family, but his wife Jen has to make all the phone calls - ring his friends and do all the family business. That was until Murph and Jen discovered the National Relay Service.

Lynn's story

 picture of Lynn Lynn was a successful social worker until, in her 40s, she lost her hearing and her world fell apart. Lynn eventually discovered the National Relay Service which has allowed her to regain her independence.

Bill's story

His dramatic hearing loss coincided with his wife's hospitalisation, resulting in a family crisis.
